Very happy about the news out of Nokia world. I've used a version of Nokia maps on a N95 and it worked great, as good as google navigation. So the new Nokia navigation should be awesome. Nokia cameras have also always been excellent. I had a 5 megapixel on the N95 and 8 megapixel on a N86, they were ahead of their time. So I am looking forward to the Nokia Lumia 800.

I upgraded my HTC Desire to Android 2.2, Froyo. After installation my wifi worked fine but I had no 3G. I fixed this problem easily. Go to settings - Wireless & networks - Mobile networks, then check to make sure your access point to your mobile network is enabled. Once I selected 3 as my access point I had 3G. I had the chance of testing the HTC Hero. With the hype about Google's Nexus One (do android phones dream of electric..... ?  hats off to Philip K. Dick, brilliant Sci Fi author) This phone falls into the shadow of the Nexus One. However, having the HTC Hero on the 3UK network is important.  I am glad 3UK has an android phone.  Hopefully they will expand their relationship with HTC and android.

I got to test 3UK's MIFI, mobile broadband wireless router.  I must have raved about it so much that my wife bought me one for Christmas.  When I was testing the MIFI, some of the things I did not test was how it worked with the DS or other hand held games. I will give that a go and see how it works.

I've had my N86 for a couple of weeks now.  Although I am pro Android, like the iPhone etc I still love N series phones.  I believe the N86 is the phone that is the natural successor to the N95.  As a photographer the first thing I want to put through it's paces is the 8mp camera.  Supposedly there are firmware updates coming that add face recognition etc.  I wish the N series had a built in raw

I've been using  the 3UK's  Mobile Broadband, what they call MIFI ( http://www.three.co.uk/Mobile_Broadband/MiFi) which 3 says is "mobile  internet whenever you want."  It's made by Huawei, the same people who make the 3's 3G USB Mobile broadband modems.
